President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić heads the Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro, composed of Mr Milutin Simović and Mr Goran Danilović, at the 22nd Annual Session of the OCSE Parliamentary Assembly being held in Istanbul.
Encountering 40 years since signing of the Helsinki Final Act, the topic of this year’s session is “Helsinki +40”, during which it is discussed on key challenges that the Parliamentary Assembly is to face with, as well as overall OSCE in the following period, with a stress on the current areas of crisis and frozen conflict in the OSCE area.
During the session, President Krivokapić met with the host – Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mr Cemil Çiçek, with whom he exchanged views on the overall bilateral relations of the two countries, with special emphasis on parliamentary cooperation. Both presidents stated that relations between Montenegro and Turkey are intensive and quality – what is especially important and that in addition to good political relations and parliamentary cooperation, there was a significant economic cooperation.
President Krivokapić talked with the OSCE Secretary General Mr Lamberto Zannier, with whom he exchanged views on the current cooperation between Montenegro and OSCE, which provided a significant help to our country during all the phases of its democratic maturing.
During the Annual session, President Krivokapić also met Mr Kairat Mami and Mr David Usupashvili, speakers of the parliaments of Kazakhstan and Georgia.
Annual Session of the OCSE Parliamentary Assembly will be continued tomorrow and will last until Thursday.
