STATEMENT

 Distinguished citizens of Montenegro, 71 year ago, the first Assembly of Montenegrin and Boka’s patriot was held, where representatives from all over the country, from all political parties, which were acting in Montenegro until the beginning of the Second World War, participated in.

The Ostroška Assembly was a watershed event in the first stage of National liberation struggle and a foundation of the future National Assembly of Montenegro. At the Ostroška Assemble, the National liberation Committee, composing of 22 members, was elected, and it represented the first revolutionary Government in Montenegro”.

The State of Montenegro is an open and democratic society, which nourishes anti-fascism as its legacy, proudly preserves the memory of victims and fosters millennial tradition of freedom.
