First day concluded of the Regional Working Meeting in Sarajevu, 3-4 July

The Regional Working Meeting, on the subject of “Ensuring financial autonomy of parliaments with a view to adequately fulfill the rights and obligations of members of parliaments”, is being held in the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, organized by OSCE, USAID and SGiP

On the first day of the meeting, after the welcoming speech, moderator Dragan Rodić, the Chairperson of the Joint Committee on Administrative Affairs of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has opened the Regional Working Meeting and chaired the first session, entitled "Financial autonomy of parliament".

The second session, entitled "Rights of members of parliaments", was chaired by the moderator Zvonko Jurišić, the First Deputy Chairperson of the Joint Committee on Administrative Affairs of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Regional Working Meeting was attended by representatives of the following parliaments: the Parliament of Montenegro, National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Assembly of AP Vojvodina, Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, Parliament of Albania, Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina – House of Representatives, Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina – House of Peoples, Assembly of the Brčko District, National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska and Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

At the Regional Working Meeting representatives of all parliaments took part, in the way they presented the procedure of adoption of the budget of the national parliament, legal solutions on current issues and specified the rights MPs exercise in accordance with national positive regulations.

The delegation of the Administrative Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro, which constructively participated in the discussion, in composed of members Radovan Obradović and Emilo Labudović.

At the end of the day, it was agreed that conclusions and final remarks be adopted in the continuation of the Regional Meeting.
