In line with the procedure for the appointment of three members of the Council of the Agency for Electronic Media, and upon Public Notice No. 00-63-14/15-49 of 16 July 2015, the Administrative Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro of the 25th convocation, at its 60th meeting held today, decided to propose to the Parliament of Montenegro to appoint Mr Saša Knežević, candidate of the University, as a member of the Council of the Agency.
The Committee also decided to initiate new proceedings for the appointment of two members of the Council of the Agency for Electronic Media by authorised proposers, namely: non-governmental organisations dealing with the protection of human rights and freedoms and association of commercial broadcasters, due to the fact that none of the proposed candidates has not been supported by the necessary majority of present Committee members.
In addition, upon the proposal of MP Group of the Social Democratic Party of Montenegro, the Committee has established five proposals for decisions, and decided to propose to the Parliament of Montenegro to:
- dismiss from duty Chairperson of the Legislative Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro MP Mr Džavid Šabović, and elect Ms Draginja Vuksanović as Chairperson of the Legislative Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro;
- dismiss from duty member of the Commission for Monitoring and Control of the Privatisation Procedure Mr Izet Bralić, and elect Mr Džavid Šabović as a member of the Commission for Monitoring and Control of the Privatisation Procedure;
- dismiss from duty member of the Gender Equality Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro Ms Draginja Vuksanović;
- elect Mr Džavid Šabović as a member of the Security and Defence Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro; and
- elect Mr Izet Bralić as a member of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants of the Parliament of Montenegro.
