Administrative Committee holds its 62nd meeting

The Committee decided to propose to the Parliament to note the completion of the procedure for the appointment of members of the Council for Civilian Control of Police Operations

At today’s meeting of the Administrative Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro of the 25th Convocation, the Committee noted that authorised entities - in accordance with the Invitation of the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, No. 00-32/15-2 of 4 December 2015 - and in line with the law, have appointed members of the Council for Civilian Control of Police Operations, namely: Bar Association of Montenegro - Mr Zoran Čelebić, lawyers from Podgorica; Medical Association of Montenegro - Mr Vladimir Dobričanin; Association of Lawyers of Montenegro - Mr Branislav Radulović, Vice President of the Association of Lawyers of Montenegro and Editor-in-Chief of magazine “Pravni zbornik”; University of Montenegro - Mr Dražen Cerović, Associate Professor of the Faculty of Law at the University of Montenegro and 28 nongovernmental organisations dealing with human rights - Mr Saša Zeković, human rights researcher. The Committee decided unanimously (total of 9 MPs voted - Mr Radivoje Lala Nikčević, Chairperson of the Committee, Mr Milorad Vuletić, Mr Saša Pešić, Ms Marta Šćepanović, Mr Radovan Obradović, Mr Rifat Rastoder, Mr Rešad Sijarić, Mr Aleksandar Damjanović and Ms Azra Jasavić, members of the Committee) to propose to the Parliament of Montenegro of the 25th Convocation to note the completion of the procedure for the appointment of members of the Council for Civilian Control of Police Operations.

Upon the proposal of Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Suljo Mustafić, the Committee decided to dismiss from the duty Mr Dževdo Jasavić, advisor to the Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro, thus his office terminated on 28 December 2015.

Additionally, upon the proposal of Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Suljo Mustafić, the Committee decided to appoint Mr Sead Šahman, bachelor of management, advisor to the Vice President of the Parliament of Montenegro, starting from 28 December 2015.
