The aim of the visit is to introduce students with activities of the Parliament of Montenegro, its organization, competences and functions and to raise awareness of young people of its significance.

The Committee supported the Proposal for the Law on Budget of Montenegro for 2013 in the section regarding education, science, culture and sport.

The visit is part of the project “Open Parliament”.

Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms considered Proposal for the Law on Budget of Montenegro for 2013.

The students were introduced with activities of the Parliament of Montenegro, its organization, competences and functions, and they were particularly interested in process of passing laws, rights and responsibilities of MPs, issue of representation of women in parliament and details form the history of Montenegrin parliamentary as well.

The Chairman of the Committee on Economy, Finance ad Budget of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr. Aleksandar Damjanović, will meet with representatives of the Mission of International Monetary Fund on Wednesday, 13th February, 2013, who are paying a visit to Montenegro.

The President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr. Ranko Krivokapić ceremoniously presented the certificates to representatives of 17 Montenegrin schools who participated in pilot project Democratic Workshops. 

Opinions on the role of the Parliament in accession negotiations exchanged at the meeting.
