The Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Parliament of Montenegro held today the first meeting at which the Proposal for the Law on Budget of Montenegro for 2013 in the section regarding education, science, culture and sport was discussed.

Meeting of the Committee was attended by Mr. Nemanja Pavličić and Mr. Boris Bušković, as authorized representatives of the proponents, and representatives of line ministries.

During the discussion it was pointed out that the proposed budget was a reflection of the efforts to preserve the functionality of the system and sustainability of consumer items related to education, science, culture and sport.

The largest number of questions of the Committee members was related to the lack of pre-schools institutions, budget cuts to the University of Montenegro, as well as insufficient investment in science, culture and sport.

After a comprehensive discussion, the Committee supported the Proposal for the Law on Budget of Montenegro for 2013, in part related to the field of education, science, culture and sports.
