Students of the primary school “Milan Vuković“ from Herceg Novi had the opportunity to acquire new knowledge on democracy, role of the MPs, functions of the Parliament, as well as the election process, via conversation with the MPs. The participants of the workshops incorporate their acquired knowledge and experiences into a journalist report, which is then published at the children parliamentary web page.
The workshop atmosphere, engagement and interest of children, as well as their impressions after the workshop give a unique testament to the rising of level of knowledge from the area of civic education in Montenegro.
The “Democratic Workshops” Project is aimed at stimulating the interest in politics and democratic process in the young, enable them to learn about the work of the MPs and the Parliament as an institution, and contribute to the better understanding of these processes.
