The Commission for Monitoring and Control of the Privatization Procedure held its third meeting today. Today's meeting was dedicated to the control of the privatisation procedure of the “Black Coal Mine” AD Berane, with special regard to the difficult situation in which the workers of this enterprise are found. Namely, six workers of the “Black Coal Mine” AD Berane have been on strike for 16 days in the pit “Petnjik”.
Apart from the Commission members, the meeting was also attended by the representatives of the Trade Union of the “Black Coal Mine” AD Berane Mr Ljubo Gledović and Mr Ratko Došljak, Assistant to the Minister of Economy Mr Vladan Dubljević and Assistant to the Minister of Labour and Social Welfare Ms Vesna Simović.
Everyone present at the Commission meeting was informed on the letters of the Ministry of Economy, which among other things state that the Ministry of Economy held multiple meetings with the executive director of the “Balkan Energy”, where they agreed on delaying the payment of concession fees for three months and unblocking their account so that the employer could fulfil his remaining obligations to his workers by tomorrow, 21st June.
With that regard, members of the Commission expressed belief that the remaining salaries, which are the reason for the strike, would be paid in the said time, and also they sent a message to the miners to exit the pit so as not to further endanger their health.
Additionally, it was agreed that at one of the future meetings the discussion on the privatisation procedure of the “Black Coal Mine” AD Berane would continue.
