At the opening Ceremony and first plenary session of the 59 annual session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Dubrovnik, the attendees were addressed by the President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Mr Hugh BAYLEY, the President of the Republic of CroatiaMr Ivo Josipović, the President of the Croatian Parliament MrJosipLeko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Croatian Government and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Ms VesnaPušićand NATO Secretary General Mr Anders Fogh Rasmussen.
President of the Croatian Parliament MrJosipLeko addressed the participants of the meeting, emphasising that he was proud over the fact that the Croatian Parliament had been hosting this year’s session. He added that Dubrovnik, for its history, was the right place for discussion both on the future of the Alliance and outstanding issues of Mediterranean.
Mr Leko voiced assurance that the session, gathering several hundred participants from 28 NATO countries, would contribute to strengthening of mutual connections and creation of alliance for future challenges, wishing a successful work to everybody.
Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro, consisting of: Mr BorislavBanović, Mr LuiđŠkrelja and BrankaBošnjak is participating in the 59 annual session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
