Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro to the Parliament Assembly of the Council of Europe will participate at the PACE Summer Session, which will be held in Strasbourg, 23 – 27 June 2014.
The election of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe, the address by the President of Azerbaijan, Mr Ilham Aliyev and the President of Ukraine, Mr Petro Poroshenko, will be the focus of the forthcoming Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe
During the Session, members of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will be addressed by Mr Elmar Mammadyarov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, and the Chairman of the Committee of Ministers.
The Report on the activities of the Bureau and the Standing Committee for the period from the April to the June Session in 2014 will be presented at the Session. In addition, members will be informed about reports on the observation of presidential and early parliamentary elections in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, and the observation of early presidential elections in Ukraine.
During the Summer Session, the discussion on violence in the media and through the media, the challenges faced by the Development Bank of the Council of Europe, parliamentary contribution to resolving the conflict in Western Sahara, as well as reports on the theme "Towards a stronger European democracy: coping with the challenges of a federal Europe", "European public administration on the go: a public service under threat" and "The ship left to itself," dedicated to the arrival of large numbers of migrants to the Italian coast, will be discussed.
On the final day of the plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the discussion on strengthening the independence of the European Court of Human Rights and Justice for juveniles, will be lead.
