Representative of Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro to NATO PA Ms Branka Bošnjak participated in the 87th Rose-Roth seminar, on the topic: “Eastern Europe: New political and security challenges”, held in Warsaw, in the period 14-15 October 2014.
During the two-day seminar, dedicated to new political and security challenges in countries of the Eastern Europe, a special attention was paid to current political and military situation in Ukraine, support to independence of Ukraine and its new European path.
Following the discussion on Ukraine, participants of the meeting had an opportunity to discuss so-called “Russian factor”.
At the continuation, participants discussed topics such as: strengthening democracy and improving the course of Euro-Atlantic integration of Georgia, internal and external challenges of Moldavia in the process of integration to the European Union, and internal development dynamics and foreign policy of Belarus.
Representatives of delegations from 15 NATO member states and representatives of seven associated NATO PA member states took part in the gathering, as well as representatives of governments, international organisations, NGO sector, universities and representatives of the public.
The gathering was organised by the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in cooperation with the House of Deputies (Sejm) of the Republic of Poland.
