resident of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ranko Krivokapić is participating at the Conference of the Presidents of Parliaments of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative, which is being in Brdo near Kranj, held on 12th and 13th May.
The topics included in the work of the Conference of the Presidents of Parliaments of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative are “Adriatic-Ionian Initiative as means for dealing with common challenges and encouraging of Western Balkan countries approach to the European Union” as well as “The creation of European macro regional strategy and the role of Adriatic-Ionian Initiative - involvement and perspective of the parliamentary dimension of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative”.
At the Conference, the President of the Parliament will have bilateral meeting with the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia Mr Janko Vebera as well as Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mr Karl Erjavec.
Adriatic-Ionian Initiative consists of eight members: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Montenegro, Slovenia and Serbia. The Adriatic-Ionian Initiative was founded at the Summit in May in 2000 , in Ancona, when Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatian, Greece, Italy and Slovenia adopted the Declaration of Ancona, promoting dialogue and cooperation between Member States.
