Day one of the 61st Annual Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, taking place in Stavanger, Norway, has commenced with the meeting of delegations’ secretaries. During the meeting, and for the purpose of successful organisation of the gathering, the participants were provided with detailed information of organisational and technical character as well as instructions for successful holding of the NATO PA Annual Session, while the activities of the Committee for the upcoming period were presented. Preparatory activities for holding of the NATO PA Spring Session - to be held in Tirana, Albania, in the period 27-30 May 2016, as well as meeting of the Standing Committee in Paris, France, to be held in the period 1-3 April 2016 were also presented at the meeting,
The coordination meeting of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly followed these meetings, attended by chairs of bureaus, committees and subcommittee, as well as rapporteurs.
The host of the 61st Annual Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly is the Parliament of the Kingdom of Norway, and the Session brings together parliamentarians from the 28 NATO member countries from North America and Europe as well as delegates from partner countries and observers to discuss common international security issues.
Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro taking part in the 61st Annual Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly is composed of Mr Obrad Stanišić and Mr Rifat Rastoder.
