90th Rose-Roth seminar of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly ends

Head of the permanent delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Mr Mevludin Nuhodžić participated in the 90th Rose-Roth seminar titled: “Moldova’s European Future: The Regional Context and Internal Challenges”, held from 11 to 13 November 2015 in Kishinev, Republic of Moldova.

On day three of the 90th Rose-Roth seminar, during the seventh session moderated by Secretary General of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Mr David Hobbs, discussion was led on the topic: “Information warfare in Eastern Europe”, during which the participants in the gathering were addressed by science researcher from the Institute of International Relations and Political Science at Vilnius University Mr Nerijus Maliukevicius, and then by journalist and TV anchor from Moldova Ms Natalia Morari.

The continuation of the gathering was marked by the eighth session dedicated to discussion on “Political and economic development in Moldova” chaired by member of delegation of Moldova to the NATO PA Mr Dumitru Diacov, and the participants in the gathering were addressed on the topic by Country Manager for Moldova, Europe and Central Asia of the World Bank Mr Alex Kremer on “Economic challenges in Moldova”, while the speech on “Political dynamics in Moldova” was held by the Executive Director of the Association for Participatory Democracies Mr Igor Botan.

Upon the end of the eight session, the Chair member of delegation of Moldova to the NATO PA Mr Dumitru Diacov concluded the work of the 90th Rose-Roth seminar of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, voicing his pleasure over discussions led during the seminar, and noting that it provided dialogue at the parliamentary level on significant issues of the security and political nature among the chief lawmakers of NATO states and their counterparts from partner countries.

The 90th Rose-Roth seminar of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly gathered approximately 110 participants, including parliamentarians from NATO and partner states, representatives of governments, international organisations, NGO sectors, universities, and representatives of the public opinion.
