On the last day of their visit to Sarajevo and Belgrade, the Committee on the Civil Dimension of Security - Sub-committee on Democratic Governance visited the temporary reception centre for refugees - Adaševac. On that occasion, a meeting with Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Mr Aleksandar Vulin was held. During the meeting, the participants, delegates of the Parliamentary Assembly of NATO, had the opportunity to get acquainted directly with accommodation capacities and conditions in which these persons resided, and also discuss current issues and problems.
The visit of the Committee to Sarajevo and Belgrade ended by a visit to the temporary reception centre for refugees - Adaševac.
The aim of the visit is evaluation of the level of internal and external political development of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Republic of Serbia and security challenges in this regard. A special accent was placed on European and Euro-Atlantic integration of these countries, and development of geopolitical situation in the Western Balkans. During the visit of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly delegates, a series of meetings were held with high officials of governments and parliaments, representatives of international community, independent experts and representatives of academic community.
Around 30 participants took part in the visit of the Committee on the Civil Dimension of Security - Sub-committee on Democratic Governance of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly to Sarajevo and Belgrade, namely: parliamentarians from NATO and associate countries, representatives of governments, international organisations, NGOs, universities and civil society representatives.
Standing Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, composed of Mr Mevludin Nuhodžić and Mr Obrad Mišo Stanišić, took part in the visit.
