Permanent Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro to the NATO PA, consisting of Mr Obrad Mišo Stanišić and Mr Ranko Krivokapić, will take part in the Spring Session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, which will take place in Tirana, Albania, in the period from 27 to 30 May 2016.
The host of this gathering will be Delegation of the Republic of Albania to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
The Spring Session in Tirana will gather approximately 260 parliamentarians from 28 NATO member states, from North America and Europe, as well as delegates from partner countries and observer countries, with a goal to consider current security issues and draft reports of the Parliamentary Assembly’s committees in that respect.
On Saturday and Sunday, 28 and 29 May, meetings of five Parliamentary Assembly committees will be organised: Political Committee, Defence and Security Committee, Science and Technology Committee, Committee on the Civil Dimension of Security, and Economics and Security Committee.
During the said meetings, the delegates will be addressed by representatives of governments, academic community, NGO sector, and NATO.
At the Plenary Session, which will be held on 30 May, the participants in the Session will be addressed by the following: Mr Michael Turner, President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly; Mr Ilir Meta, Speaker of the Parliament of Albania; Mr Edi Rama, Prime Minister of Albania; Ambassador Mr Alexander Wershbow, NATO Deputy Secretary General; and Mr Milo Đukanović, Prime Minister of Montenegro.
