On 16 November, within the Romanian presidency over the South East Europe Cooperation Process “SEECP PD”, the Eleventh meeting of the Working Group on South East Europe Cooperation Process “SEECP PD” was held, where Mr Miodrag Vuković, professor PhD, the Chairperson of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants participated as a member of the Working Group.
Draft of the Rules of Procedure of the South East Europe Cooperation Process Parliamentary Assembly was considered at the meeting, which was attended by the MPs and national coordinators from eleven parliaments of the SEECP member states. Additionally, the amendments to the proposed text of the Rules of Procedure were considered.
Following a comprehensive discussion and consideration of provisions of the Draft of the Rules of Procedure with the amendments submitted by delegations of the national parliaments, satisfaction was expressed with regard to the debate that led to the consensus and harmonisation of majority of provisions of the considered Draft of the Rules of Procedure. Additionally, it was agreed that the provisions relating to the budget, forming and the manner of operations of the Secretariat of the South East Europe Cooperation Process SEECP Parliamentary Assembly would be formulated and harmonised at the next meeting of the Working Group.
The SEECP PD Working Group was established with a view to devise modality of operations and preparation of legal framework of the South East Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP) Parliamentary Assembly. In accordance with the conclusions from the Conference of SEECP Speakers of Parliaments held in Ohrid, the inaugural sitting of the SEECP Parliamentary Assembly was supposed to be organised in Bucharest, within the Romanian presidency over this initiative.
