Within Romania presidency of the South East Europe Cooperation Process (SEECP PD), the twelfth meeting of the Parliamentary Dimension Working Group of the initiative, where Chairperson of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants Mr Miodrag Vuković participated as a member of the Working Group, was held in Bucharest, on 16 March.
During the meeting, attended by MPs and national coordinators from parliaments of nine SEEPC member states, the Draft Rules of Procedure on the work of the Parliamentary Assembly of the South East Europe Cooperation Process and Draft Inaugural Declaration were considered. Additionally, amendments to proposed texts of these documents and Performance Report of the “SEECP PD” were considered.
Members of the Woking Group succeeded to reach a consensus and establish proposals for acts which would be considered and voted upon at the Inaugural meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the South East Europe Cooperation Process, which would be held in Bucharest, in the period 9-11 May of the current year. During the meeting, the participants also agreed – for the purpose of strengthening the institutional framework of the SEPC Parliamentary Assembly – to continue discussions following the inaugural meeting within ad-hoc working bodies on establishing the Secretariat of the Parliamentary Assembly and establishing the budget proposal of the organisation.
Working Group of the SEECP PD is founded for the purpose of creating modalities of functioning and preparing the legal framework of the Parliamentary Assembly of the South East Europe Cooperation Process – SEECP, whose inaugural sitting, according to the conclusions of the Conference of Speakers of Parliament held in Ohrid, should be organised in Bucharest during the Romanian presidency of this initiative.
