The President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ranko Krivokapić, leads the delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro to the Inaugural session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the South-East European Cooperation Process, which is to be held in Bucharest.
The Inaugural session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the South-East European Cooperation Process will be held in the period 9 – 11 May in Bucharest, within the Romanian presidency.
Aside from the President Krivokapić, leading the Montenegrin delegation, the session will also be attended by MPs Ms Žana Filipović, Mr Nebojša Medojević, Mr Dritan Abazović and Genci Nimanbegu.
The Rules of Procedure of the SEECP Parliamentary Assembly will be adopted at the Inaugural session, the work plan for 2014 and 2015 will be considered, and heads of national delegations will sign the Declaration on the Inauguration at the end of the session.
It was also planned for the constitutive meetings of general committees to be held, namely: General Committee for economy, infrastructure and energetics, General Committee for justice, home affairs and security cooperation, as well as General Committee for social development, education, research and science.
The session will also be attended by the President of Romania, Mr Traian Băsescu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Romania, Mr Titus Corlățean, as well as numerous representatives of international organizations and diplomatic corps in Romania.
The South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) is a regional framework of cooperation initiated in June 1996, with the aim of promoting and strengthening of good neighborly relations between the countries of Southeast Europe and transforming the region into a zone of peace, security, stability and cooperation.
Aside from Montenegro, members of the SEECP are: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Macedonia, Moldavia, Romania, Slovenia, Serbia and Turkey.
