Issues discussed at the meeting by the representatives of the European Commission were the initial experience of the Anti-corruption Committee and the Plan of work of the Committee, as well as whether the Committee believes that the so-called affair "Recording" needs to be considered at the meeting.
Mr. Bulatović introduced the guests with the initial activities of the Committee, issues that need to be defined for its positioning in accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament of Montenegro and the importance of the Committee. He familiarized them with the preparations for the establishment of short-term plan of work of the Committee by 1st July, 2013, and the plan for 2013.
He pointed out the expectations of establishing cooperation with the EU Delegation, as well as the EP Department.
Mr. Bulatović expressed his own point of view regarding the affair “Recording”, that it dealt with a misuse of state resources for electoral purposes, which was contrary to a number of laws. He expressed his dissatisfaction with the work of the Supreme Public Prosecutor in this case, as in other cases of political corruption.
Mr. Bulatović introduced the gests with the procedures of scheduling meetings of the committee and emphasized his readiness to strictly follow the rules. Additionally, he expressed the stance that the affair “Recording” was significant for overall relations, and that he considered it to surpass, due to its significance, the discussion at the level of the Anti-corruption Committee only, and that it should be treated accordingly.
