The Delegation of the Committee on Security and Defence will participate in the Regional Seminar for Parliamentarians on OSCE Code of Conduct on Politico-Military Aspects of Security, which is being held in Konjic, from 23 to 25 October 2013.
The gathering is organised by the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with the Joint Committee on Defence and Security of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina and OSCE Conflict Prevention Centre.
The Seminar represents a forum for sharing experiences on the past results in implementing parliamentary oversight over the defence and security sector, with special regard to budget control, building integrity in the field of defence, and the role of MPs in protecting human rights of members of armed forces. Apart from this, the topics in the gathering will also include the principles and obligations contained in the OSCE code of Conduct on Politico-Military Aspects of Security.
The Chairperson and the Members of the Committee on Security and Defence Mr Mevludin Nuhodžić, Mr Obrad Mišo Stanišić and Mr Velizar Kaluđerović will take part in the work of the gathering.
