Members of the Security and Defence Committee Mr Borislav Banović and Mr Luiđ Škrelja will participate in the seminar titled “Parliaments’ Role in minimizing the threat of small arms and light weapons in the Western Balkans – Past experiences and new challenges”, which is being held in Belgrade, on 27 and 28 March 2014.
The gathering is organised by the Parliamentary Forum on Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) and UNDP/SEESAC in cooperation with the National Assembly of Serbia.
The seminar will gather parliamentarians from the entire Western Balkans region, with a goal to promote control mechanisms for small arms and light weapons and to share experiences on the issues of regional peace and security.
