Conference “Parallel Process of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Montenegro - Results and Obligations” was held in Podgorica today.
The keynote speakers at the gathering were Ms Milica Pejanović Đurišić, Minister of Defence; H.E. Ms Sue K. Brown, US Ambassador to Montenegro; and H.E. Ms Pius Fisher, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Montenegro.
During the first panel discussion, Ambassador Aleksandar Andrija Pejović, Chief Negotiator for Negotiations on Montenegro’s Accession in the EU, spoke on the achieved results in the process of European Integration of Montenegro, while Professor Ralf Roloff of George C. Marshall Center presented the position and obligations of member states of this organisation.
Ambassador Nebojša Kaluđerović, Foreign Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister and National Coordinator for NATO; H.E. Mr Vladimir Gasparič, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Montenegro; and Professor John Kriendler of George C. Marshall Center spoke on the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, implemented activities, comparative experiences and expectations, and obligations of member states of the NATO Alliance.
The event organized by the George C. Marshall Center of the German Marshall Center and the Alumni Association of Montenegro, with support of the Ministry of Defence and University of Donja Gorica (UDG) was attended by the representatives of the Parliament of Montenegro, the Government, civil society organisations, as well as Marshall Center Alumni from Montenegro.
