Members and the Service of the Security and Defense Committee paid a study visit to the Republic of Croatia

On the last day of the study visit, members of the Security and Defense Committee met with their colleagues from the Committee for Internal Affairs and National Security and Defense Committee of the Croatian Parliament, with whom they exchanged experiences and pointed out challenges in the work of these parliamentary working bodies.

Visit to the Croatian Parliament was followed by the meeting with the representatives of the Customs Administration, who transferred experiences on their path to the European and Euro Atlantic integration, difficulties and challenges they met with, and gave pieces of advice which might be useful for Montenegro on that path, to the representatives of the Committee.

Study visit as part of the three-year project of the Democratic Control of Armed Forces from Geneva (DCAF), was aimed at specifically adjusted support to Montenegrin Parliament in the process of further harmonization of laws, procedures and practices with European standards through exchange of experiences with their colleagues from the Republic of Croatia.

The Chairman and the following members of the Committee participated in the study visit to Croatia: Mr. Mevludin Nuhodžić, Mr. Obrad Mišo Stanišić, Mr. Luiđ Ljubo Škrelja, Mr. Borislav Banović, Mr. Vasilije Lalošević, Mr. Velizar Kaluđerović and Mr. Zoran Miljanić.
