The Chairman of the Security and Defense Committee, Mr. Mevludin Nuhodžić, met today with the representatives of the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF), coordinators of the project “Strengthening Intelligence Oversight in the Western Balkans”, Ms. Teodora Fuior and Ms. Franziska Klopfer.

The details of the upcoming study visit of members of the Security and Defense Committee to the Parliament of Croatia were discussed at the meeting, as one of the activities planned within the three year project for providing support to the national parliaments in the region of the Western Balkans in fulfilling their constitutional role of the legislative, representative and oversight bodies in the field of defense and security.

With the implementation of the aforementioned activities, the process of the professional training of members and the service of the Security and Defense Committee continues, aimed at building upon the established legal framework in the field of security and defense, as well as the successful cooperation with the Geneva Centre for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces (DCAF) of many years.
