Chairperson of the Defence and Security Committee Mr Mevludin Nuhodžić took part in the Fourth Annual Discussion on the Implementation of the Code of Conduct on Politico-Military Aspects of Security, held in Vienna today.
Ambassador Ms Slavica Milačić, President of the Forum for Security Co-operation, addressed participants during the opening remarks, as well as Mr Claus Neukirch, Deputy Director of the Conflict Prevention Centre for Operations Service at OSCE.
Through interactive discussion, the meeting gave an opportunity for exchange of lessons learnt, best practice and challenges that states participating in the implementation of the Code of Conduct on Politico-Military Aspects of Security have been facing, including the examination of application of the said document in the context of the current political and military situation.
Aside from the representatives of national parliaments, the following also participated in the meeting: OSCE Secretariat, Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, field operations, OSCE Parliamentary Assembly and OSCE partners for cooperation as well as representatives of think tank organisations with international reputation dealing with security issues.
