On the second day of the Seminar for MPs on the national security policy, organised in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, the topics included: role of the parliament in planning and control of funds in defence sector, combating corruption, regional economic security and democratic management. In their discussions, led with the lecturers from the Marshal Centre, the MPs presented mechanisms and the role of the parliament in control and planning of the defence budget, as well as its role in combating corruption. Additionally, the MPs had the opportunity to discuss and provide their comments to the possible positive or negative implications that the Croatia’s EU accession may have on Montenegro. Within this discussion, it was concluded that Croatia represents a good example, which the countries in the region should follow in their integration processes.
