31st meeting ended and 32nd meeting of the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget held

The implementation of Conclusions of the Parliament of Montenegro relating to the Aluminium Plant JSC Podgorica (KAP) considered, and the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Administrative Fees supported

At the continuation of their 31st meeting held today, the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget decided to propose to the Parliament of Montenegro to accept the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on Administrative Fees (proponent – MPs of the SNP MP Group).

The Committee ended the discussion on the Proposal for the Law on Protection of State Interests in Mining and Metallurgy Sector (proponent – MPs of the DF MP Group), after which it decided to propose to the Parliament not to accept it.

Following that, the Committee held the 32nd meeting, where it considered the implementation of the three groups of conclusions of the Parliament of Montenegro, relating to the Aluminium Plant JSC Podgorica (KAP).

Upon invitation, the meeting was attended by the following: Mr Vladimir Kavarić, PhD, Minister of Economy; Mr Dragan Kujović, Assistant to the Minister of Economy; Mr Dragiša Pešić, PhD, and Mr Branislav Radulović, PhD, members of the Senate of the State Audit Institution; Mr Veselin Perišić, Bankruptcy Administrator in KAP; Mr Darko Uskoković, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Montenegrobonus LTD; Mr Rade Krivokapić, representative of the Trade Union Organisation of Workers in Aluminium Production; Mr Borislav Bojanović, representative of the Independent Trade Union of Bauxite Mine; and Mr Ilija Đilas, representative of the Trade Union of Bauxite Mine, who expressed their views on implementation of the parliamentary conclusions.

Among other things, the Committee deemed it necessary that the Bankruptcy Administrator of KAP should report to the Committee every fifteen days on the current situation in this company.
