At today's meeting, the Committee put on the agenda the Proposal for the Law on Amendments to the Law on State Audit Institution, submitted by following MPs: Aleksandar Damjanović, Veljko Zarubica, Zoran Jelić, Rešid Adrović, Nik Geloshaj, Strahinja Bulajić, Milutin Đukanović and Mladen Bojanić, and decided to propose it to the Parliament for adoption.
The Committee also supported the Proposal for the Law on Prevention of Money Laundering and Financing Terrorism, aimed at harmonizing with recommendations of MONEYVAL (Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism) as well as with new recommendations of FATF (Financial Action Task Force on Money Laundering) and Directives of the European Parliament and Council. The Proposal for the Law, inter alia, expands the list of taxpayers obliged to take measures to detect and prevent money laundering and financing of terrorism, introduces the procedure of establishing and checking the identity of the client through third party and the obligation of undertaking a measure of thorough check of a client.
In line with Article 32 of the Law on Financing of Political Parties, the Committee agreed to continue discussion on activities relating to implementation of the oversight over the application of the said Law.
