At its 59th meeting held today, the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget considered and proposed to the Parliament for adoption the Proposal for the Law on General Product Safety. The Committee considered and proposed to the Parliament for adoption the Proposal for the Law on Market Surveillance.
The Committee continued its activities regarding the exercise of parliamentary oversight over the Law on Financing of Political Parties, in accordance with Article 32a of the Law on Financing of Political Parties. The Committee concluded that the Constitutional Court of Montenegro had decided that certain provisions of the Law were not in accordance with the Constitution of Montenegro and ratified and published international treaties. It was agreed that, in one of its future meetings, after the publishing of the Constitutional Court’s decision in the Official Gazette of Montenegro, the Committee would continue its activities regarding the exercise of parliamentary oversight in accordance with the Law.
