The Chairperson of the Committee, Mr. Aleksandar Damjanović, MA, met today with the Delegation of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), headed by Mr. Sami Yalaoutinen, advisor for technical assistance issues in the Department for Fiscal Issues of IMF. This is the IMF technical assistance mission to Montenegro, which will last until 12th April, funded by the Government of Japan, through the Programme of Fiscal Management in the South East Europe.  

The IMF representative Mr. Yalaoutinen pointed out that the special focus of the mission was the following: further promotion of debt management capacities; promotion of the fiscal reporting and capacities of fiscal projecting; as well as the overview of provisions of the original Budget Law, with the special attention being paid to the elements of fiscal responsibility and the option of including the mid-term fiscal goals and rules that would regulate the sustainable fiscal policy in medium and long term.

One of the topics of the meeting was also a budgetary procedure from the perspective of the Parliament of Montenegro.
