At the meeting held today, members of the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget decided to propose the 2013 Status report of the Power Sector of Montenegro to the Parliament for adoption. It was noted that the specific Report stated in a realistic and objective way the situation in the energy sector of Montenegro in 2013.
In accordance with the Article 20 of the Deposit Protection Law, Committee members were informed of the 2013 Annual Performance Report of the Deposit Protection Fund, with regard to the implementation of conclusions of the Parliament of Montenegro (“Official Gazette of Montenegro”, No 56/13), adopted by the Parliament of Montenegro regarding the consideration of the 2012 Annual Performance Report of the Deposit Protection Fund.
In accordance with the Article 75 paragraph 3 of the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament of Montenegro, it was prescribed that once during the Ordinary Session of the Parliament of Montenegro, the Committee should make a decision on the control hearing, at the request of one third of the members, regarding one topic of the agenda.
Bearing in mind the above stated, and proceeding from the conclusion 7 adopted by the Parliament of Montenegro on the Seventh Sitting of the Second (Autumn) Session in 2013, with regard to adoption of the Proposal for the Law on Final Budget Statement of Montenegro for 2012 and the Annual Report on Performed Audits and Activities of the State Audit Institution for the period October 2012 – October 2013 (″Official Gazette of Montenegro″, No 2/14), at the request of one third of members of the Committee (Aleksandar Damjanović, Srđan Milić, Strahinja Bulajić, Milutin Đukanović and Mladen Bojanić), the Committee made the Decision to hold the control hearing of Slavoljub Stijepović – Minister of Education, Duško Rajković – Director of the PI Center for Vocational Education, Zoja Bojanić Lalović – Director of the PI Institute for textbook publishing and teaching aids and Nenad Šoškić – director of the PI Center for Contemporary Art, on the grounds of the negative opinion of the State Audit Institution on the audit of annual financial reports of mentioned institutions. The date of the hearing will be determined at one of the following meetings of the Committee.
It was also agreed that the Financial Crisis Management Plan at the level of the entire financial system (National Contingency Plan) be reviewed at the meeting of the Committee during next week.
