During the meeting, members of the Committee were, inter alia, informed about the current situation in Montenegro in the fields of electricity, gas, renewable energy, energy efficiency, environmental protection and oil reserves. In addition, there was the discussion on the upcoming activities of the Energy Community for improvement of its operations, activities carried out in Montenegro in part related to amendments to laws, primarily the Law on Energyand obligations of transposing of the second and third directive package (II and III energy package); effects of the construction of the Trans-Adriatic pipeline; strengthening the role of independent regulators; possibility of establishing the special Agency for energy efficiency and improving the situation in this area; delay of the legal and functional separation of EPCG, the question of South Stream, etc.
Apart from members of the Committee: Aleksandar Damjanović, Veljko Zarubica, Filip Vuković i Almer Kalač and the Head of Energy Community Secretariat, Janez Kopač, the meeting was also attended by,following an invitation: member of the Board of the Energy Regulatory Agency, Miroslav Vukčević, representatives of the Ministry of Economy, Miodrag Čanović – General Director of the Directorate for Energy and Danilo Barjaktarović, as well as the representative of the NGO Civic Alliance, Edin Koljenović.
