Chairperson of the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Aleksandar Damjanović participated in the meeting of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy of the European Parliament, which was held in Brussels. At the agenda of the meeting, among other things, the following topics were covered: Energy Policy of the European Union, relations between the EU and the Western Balkans countries in the field of energy, as well as the role of the European Energy Community in achieving energy security in Europe.
With participation of the representatives of the European Commission, European parliamentarians, and the members of the parliaments of the European Energy Community member states, the idea to establish the Parliamentary Assembly of the European Energy Community was officially initiated, as the key mechanism of coordination and harmonisation of energy policies of the EU and the members of the energy community, including Montenegro.
In that respect, Chairperson of the Committee Mr Aleksandar Damjanović delivered a speech at the meeting of the European Parliament, and the Montenegrin Delegation included Mr Filip Vuković, Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget.
