At its meeting held today, the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget held a control hearing of: Mr Branimir Gvozdenović, Minister of Sustainable Development and Tourism, and Mr Zoran Mrdak, accountable person at the Public Enterprise for National Parks of Montenegro, regarding the negative opinion of the State Audit Institution on the financial audit and audit of regularities of the Public Enterprise for National Parks of Montenegro.
During the discussion, the MPs posed numerous questions to persons called for the control hearing, which, among other things, referred to the following: reasons due to which the transformation of the Public Enterprise for National Parks into a business enterprise has not been made yet, in accordance with the Law on Improvement of the Business Environment and the Law on National Parks, as well as reasons due to which four members of the Administrative Board and the director of the Public Enterprise have not been elected yet, in light of mandate expiration of these persons in 29 December 2015. Furthermore, the MPs wanted to know at what stage the implementation of recommendation of the State Audit Institution was; whether accountability for negative results of the audit was determined; operations of the Public Enterprise in 2014; differences with regard to stated capital, cash, and value of basic funds of the Public Enterprise in relation to findings of the State Audit Institution, etc.
The Committee pointed out the possibility of proposing conclusions to the Parliament of Montenegro, in accordance with Article 77 of the rules of Procedure of the Parliament of Montenegro.
