At its meeting held today, the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget held a control hearing of Minister of Health Mr Budimir Šegrt, with regard to the state of the health system of Montenegro and the allocated amount of funds for medical devices.

During the discussion, the MPs posed numerous questions, which, among other things, referred to the following: the allocated amount of funds for the health sector in part relating to medical devices and medicines; needs of public health institutions for medical devices; quality of health services; procurement of medical equipment; activities aimed at improvement of the state of the health system; supply and quality of medicines in Montenegrin market, etc.

At the end of discussion, they pointed out the possibility of proposing conclusions to the Parliament of Montenegro with regard to the held hearing, in accordance with Article 77 of the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament of Montenegro.
