In the presence of Mr Nikola Fabris, Negotiator for Chapter 4 and Vice Governor for Financial Stability and Payment Systems of the Central Bank of Montenegro, the members of the Committee on European Integration considered the Draft Negotiation Position of Montenegro on Intergovernmental Conference on the Accession of Montenegro to the European Union for Chapter 4 – Free Movement of Capital. It has been pointed out that the field of free movement of capital covered three segments: free movement of capital and payments, payment services and prevention of money laundering and funding of terrorism.
Following the presentation of the said chapter, or the negotiation position, the Opinion on amendments to the Draft Position of Montenegro on Intergovernmental Conference on the Accession of Montenegro to the European Union for Chapter 4 – Free Movement of Capital was unanimously adopted, and the present representatives of the negotiation team agreed with it.
The meeting of the Committee was also attended by the members of the parliamentary committees, which, in accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the Parliament have competencies within the fields covered by Chapter 4 – the Committee on Economy, Finance and Budget and the Committee on Political System, Judiciary and Administration.
