Delegation of the Parliament of Montenegro participating in the Seminar “Role of Parliaments in the EU Accession Negotiation Process”, organised by the European Parliament and held in Sofia, will consist of the Chairperson and members of the Committee on European Integration – Mr Slaven Radunović, Mr Zoran Srzentić, Mr Srđa Popović and Mr Danko Šarančić.

Topics covered in the Seminar will include the following: main challenges of the accession process, oversight mechanisms of legislative bodies, role of national parliaments and civil sector in the negotiation process and development of inter-parliamentary communication, focused on the importance of sharing experiences among the countries in the negotiation process with the EU.

This Seminar will gather representatives of the European Parliament, parliamentarians of the EU member states, candidate countries and potential candidates from the Western Balkans, as well as representatives of the regional initiatives.
