At its meeting held today, members of the Committee on European Integration unanimously adopted a positive opinion on Draft negotiating position of Montenegro for Intergovernmental Conference on the Accession of Montenegro to the EU for Chapter 11 - Agriculture and rural development and Draft negotiating position of Montenegro for Intergovernmental Conference on the Accession of Montenegro to the EU for Chapter 12 - Food safety, veterinary and phytosanitary policy.
The key aspects of the said documents were presented by: Ambassador Mr Aleksandar Andrija Pejović, Chief Negotiator for Negotiations on Accession of Montenegro to the EU, Ms Danijela Stolica, Director General of Directorate for Agriculture and Fisheries at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and member of the Negotiating Group for chapters 11 and 12, and Ms Zorka Prljević, Director of Phytosanitary Directorate and Head of Working Group for Chapter 12.
In addition to members of the Committee on European Integration, members of the Committee on Tourism, Agriculture, Ecology and Spatial Planning also participated in the discussion.
Bearing in mind the nature of considered documents, which are marked as “internal”, the meeting was closed to public.
