Upon the invitation of the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms of Montenegro, the Chairperson of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms Mr. Halil Duković Dr will participate on the promotion of the Report on Abuse of Children via the Internet in Montenegro, which will be held in Hotel “Podgorica”, on 12th and 13th April 2013.

The Report was done by the Institution of the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms of Montenegro within the third phase of the Project “Improving of the position of the child with the aim of protection from all forms of exploitation”, conducted by the CRONSEE within the Regional Network of Ombudsmen for Children, with the support of the Save the Children organization.

Representatives of the Institution of the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms of Montenegro will present the results of research on abuse of children via internet, conducted with the aim of collecting data on phenomena of exploitation and abuse of children through modern information technology and system of children protection from this sort of protection in Montenegro.

Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms considered the Special report on child begging in Montenegro, composed within the first phase, and the Report on Sexual Abuse of Children in Montenegro, composed within the second phase of the Project: “Improving of the position of the child with the aim of protection from all forms of exploitation” and in line with the Plan of Activities of the Committee for 2013, the Report on Abuse of Children via the Internet in Montenegro will be considered as well as the Final report that the Institution of the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms will submit to the Committee after the completion of the regional project.

The representatives of the Parliament of Montenegro, the Government of Montenegro, non-governmental sector and media will attend the promotion of the Report on Abuse of the Children via Internet in Montenegro.
