In addition to the Chairperson of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms, Minister of Labour and Social Welfare Predrag Bošković and UNICEF Representative to Montenegro Benjamin Perks also spoke at the media conference, held in the UN Eco-building in Podgorica.    

Chairperson of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms presented key activities of the Committee in the field of promotion and protection of the right of a child, since this field is one of the key fields in the work of this parliamentary working body, through which the Committee, in cooperation with relevant government authorities, international organizations seated in Montenegro and non-governmental organizations dealing with the protection of the rights of children, wants to contribute to the improvement of their position in Montenegrin society.    

He pointed out that the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms had very good cooperation with the UNICEF Representative in Montenegro, and expressed expectation for its continuation in the future. He stated that the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms, in accordance with its authority, is very dedicated to promotion and protection of rights of the child and in that regard it organized a number of activities in the previous period.
