It was concluded that the meeting was productive, and that the participants in the meeting were obligated to continue with their work and cooperation aimed at improving the situation of this vulnerable population. It is necessary to work on raising awareness of citizens in order to better understand and accept persons with disabilities.

Meeting of representatives of Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms with representatives of NGO "Our Initiative"
Chairperson of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms Mr Halil Duković and Deputy Chairperson of the Committee Ms Ljiljana Đurašković today held a meeting with representatives of the NGO Federation of Associations of Parents of Children and Youth with Developmental Disabilities "Our Initiative", aimed at implementation of activities determined by the 2015 Activity Plan of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms, dedicated to promotion and protection of rights of the child, with special emphasis on the rights of children with developmental disabilities.
