Fifth Meeting of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants held

Four proposals for laws considered.

At the Fifth Meeting of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants, held today, four proposals for laws were considered.

The Committee discussed and positively assessed the following: Proposal for the Law on ratification the Agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the Government of the Republic of Moldavia on readmission (return and acceptance) of the persons with no residence permit, Proposal for the Law on ratification the Foundation Agreement of the International Anti-Corruption Academy, Proposal for the Law on ratification of the Treaty between Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina and Proposal for the Law between the Government of Montenegro and the Government of the Republic of Slovakia on cooperation and mutual help in case of natural and other catastrophes.

Considered proposals for laws were supported unanimously by the present members of the Committee, and these are to be sent to the Parliament for consideration and adoption.

The preparation of the strategy which would define priorities and aims regarding the position of the Committee in activities for improving the status and rights of emigrants from Montenegro in other states was also discussed at the meeting. Members of the Committee expressed unique attitude that it was necessary to strengthen the position of the Parliament of Montenegro and the role of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants regarding establishing and exercising of the policies related to emigrants from Montenegro.

Apart from the members of the Committee, the meeting of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants was attended by representatives of proponents of proposals for law,s representatives of media and non-governmental sector.
