Two-day Bled Strategic Forum was ended with thepanel on regional cooperation in the Western Balkans region, which gathered this year more than 500 participants from 65 countries and international organizations.
Cooperation in the Western Balkans region was addressed by Aleksandar Andrija Pejović State Secretary-Chief negotiator for negotiations over Montenegro’saccession to the European Union, Ivica Dačić First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vesna Pusić Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Nikola Poposki Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Macedonia, Hoyt Yee US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Goran Svilanović former Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and the RCC Secretary General, Ana Trišić Babić Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Senator Benedetto Della Vedova, Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Italy.
Chief Negotiator for Montenegro's Accession to the EU Aleksandar Andrija Pejović, speaking of the forms and the importance of regional cooperation, pointed out that cooperation between the countries of the region in the field of European integration represents great impulse to intensive regional cooperation, noting that, through various forms of cooperation, Montenegro uses the experience of the Republic of Slovenia and the Republic of Croatia on its European path.
Cooperation in the region of Southeast Europe should be strengthened, as well as mutual trust, and the prospects for membership in the European Union in the Southeast Europe is in an excellent framework for it, concluded the participants of the panel discussion on regional cooperation in the Balkans.
This year's Bled Strategic Forum was attended by the Chairperson of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants Miodrag Vuković prof. PhD and MP Dritan Abazović MA.
