At the third meeting of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants, the following proposals for laws were considered: Proposal for the Law on Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia on Police Cooperation, Proposal for the Law on Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the Czech Republic on Cooperation in the field of fight against crime, Proposal for the Law on Ratification of the Annex VI to the MARPOL Convention 73/76, Proposal for the Law on Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of Montenegro and Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania on organizing border railway traffic, Proposal for the Law on Ratification of the Convention of the Council of Europe on preventing and combating violence against women, Proposal for the Law on Ratification of the International Convention on protection of new plant varieties, Proposal for the Law on Ratification of the Treaty on Extradition between Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Proposal for the Law on Ratification of the Agreement on legal status of the Regional Centre for Environment for Central and Eastern Europe, and finally, Proposal for the Law on Ratification of the Convention on Solving the Investment Disputes between states and citizens of other states.
Consideration of Proposal for the Law on Ratification of the Agreement between the Government of Montenegro and the Government of the Republic of Moldova on Readmission (return and acceptance) of entities who have no residence permit, and Proposal for the Law on Ratification of the Founding Agreement of the International Academy for fight against corruption was postponed to be considered on one of the following meetings, bearing in mind that the authorised representatives of proponents from the line ministries were not present at the meeting.
The considered proposals were supported by the majority of the Committee members present at the meeting, and the same will be forwarded to the Parliament for consideration and adoption.
The proposed agenda for the third meeting of the Committee on International Relations and Emigrants had been complemented with the following two items: Consideration of the submitted proposals for the position of the deputy chairman of the Committee and Proposal of the MP Mr. Koča Pavlović for holding of the control hearing of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Mr. Igor Lukšić. PhD, regarding the issue of Prevlaka.
Regarding the first item of the extended agenda, and considering that the opposition had two candidates for the position of the deputy chairman of the Committee, it was decided at the meeting to postpone the election for one of the upcoming meetings. Additionally, it had been decided to hold a meeting of the Committee regarding the said hearing of the Minister Lukšić.
The Minutes from the first and second meeting of the Committee, as well as the Minutes from the meetings of the members of the Committee held with the President of the National Council of Austria, Ms. Barbara Prammer and the meeting of the members of the Committee held with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, H.E. Mr. Mohamed Abdel Hakam, had been adopted at the meeting.
