The Committee on monitoring the investigation of cases of endangering security of journalists and media outlets held its third meeting, and within it the control hearing of the Supreme Public Prosecutor and the Chief Special Prosecutor with regard to the investigation of cases of endangering security of journalists and media outlets, with special reference to the murder of Mr Duško Jovanović, the co-owner and editor-in-chief of the daily “Dan”.
At the meeting which lasted almost three hours, the MPs asked numerous questions with regard to the cases of endangering security of journalists and media outlets in Montenegro. They have shown special interest in the so-called “independent detective report” relating to the murder of Mr Duško Jovanović in 2004. The prosecutors which were interviewed in the hearing provided answers to the questions asked to the extent not harmful to the future investigations and the ongoing ones.
The meeting was attended by all members of the Committee: Ms Marta Šćepanović, Mr Milorad Vuletić, Mr Goran Tuponja, Mr Emilo Labudović, Mr Andrija Popović, Mr Koča Pavlović, Mr Srđan Milić, and Mr Izet Bralić.
