Representatives of the Committee on Political System, Judiciary and Administration will participate in the Joint Meeting of the European Parliament and national parliaments, titled: "Future Priorities in the Field of Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs".
The event will be hosted by the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs (LIBE) of the European Parliament and the Committee on Public Administration, Public Order and Justice of the Hellenic Parliament.
The meeting, among other things, will be focused on topics such as: developing an EU Internal Security Strategy and enhancing police cooperation, developing a criminal justice area under the Lisbon Treaty with focus on the European Public Prosecutor's Office and judicial cooperation instruments in criminal matters, development of EU policy in the field of immigration and asylum as well as fundamental rights of EU citizens in digital era and strengthening protection of data and citizens of the EU against massive electronic surveillance.
Members of the Committee on Political System, Judiciary and Administration Ms Azra Jasavić and Mr Husnija Šabović will participate in the gathering.
