Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Sports held its sixteenth meeting today, with the following agenda:

- Approving Minutes from the Fifteenth meeting of the Committee;

1. Initiative for holding a control hearing of the Minister of Education and Minister of Culture, submitted by MP Srđan Perić;
2. Information on visit of the Committee to the Parliament of Slovenia;
3. Current issues.

Committee on Education, Science, Culture and Sports did not support the initiative submitted by MP Srđan Perić for holding a control hearing of the Minister of Education Mr Slavoljub Stijepović and Minister of Culture Mr Branislav Mićunović in terms of the following three topics: Misuse of children for party purposes in the kindergarten “Zvjezdani vrt” in Golubovci; State of play in publishing field in the light of findings from the Report of the State Audit Institution on revision of Annual Financial Report of the Institute for textbooks and teaching aidfor 2012 and frequent attacks on journalists and photo-reporters.

The Committee will send to the Collegium of the President the proposal for composition of the Committee delegation, which will pay a study visit to the Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Sports and Youth and Committee on Culture of the Slovenian Parliament – on 18 October 2013..

Minutes from the Fifteenth meeting of the Committee was adopted.
