At their twentieth meeting held today, the Committee got acquainted with the Report from the seminar on the topic “Youth and Education in the Balkans”, held on 6 and 7 November 2013, in the European Parliament in Brussels.

It was concluded that the Seminar, which was attended by the following members of the Committee: Mr Andrija Popović, Mr Saša Pešić and Ms Branka Bošnjak, had exceptional quality and was exceptionally successful, and also the participants had the opportunity to be informed on various topic from the field of education, such as: topics relating to the education policy of the European Union, inclusive education, professional education and the issue of youth unemployment, activities of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in the field of education, reform of the education systems of the Western Balkans Countries.

The Committee has elected the MP Zdenka Popović as the Deputy Chairperson of the Committee.

The minutes from the eighteenth and nineteenth meeting of the Committee were approved.
